Welcome to the WhautoChat Whitelabel Mobile App setup guide. This page explains the complete journey from start to finish.

The Complete Journey​

Here's the step-by-step process to get your branded mobile apps live on the App Store and Play Store:

Phase 1: Account Setup (You Do This)​

Time: 1-2 weeks

  1. Create Apple Developer account
  2. Create Google Play Console account
  3. Create OneSignal account
  4. Create apps in App Store Connect and Play Console

Phase 2: Configuration (You Do This)​

Time: 2-3 days

  1. Configure OneSignal for push notifications
  2. Set up Apple certificates and profiles
  3. Configure Google Play app signing
  4. Configure OneSignal in your WhautoChat backend

Phase 3: Prepare Build Assets (You Do This)​

Time: 1-2 days

  1. Design app icon and splash screens
  2. Gather all credentials and certificates
  3. Prepare app information (name, Bundle ID, etc.)

Phase 4: Submit to WhautoChat (You Do This)​

Time: 30 minutes

  1. Package all assets and credentials
  2. Submit to WhautoChat team

Phase 5: App Build (WhautoChat Does This)​

Time: 1-3 business days

  1. WhautoChat reviews your submission
  2. Configures and builds iOS app
  3. Configures and builds Android app
  4. Tests both apps
  5. Delivers IPA and AAB files to you

Phase 6: App Store Submission (You Do This)​

Time: 1-2 days

  1. Prepare store listings and screenshots
  2. Upload IPA to App Store Connect
  3. Upload AAB to Google Play Console
  4. Submit for review

  1. Test push notifications
  2. Verify app functionality
  3. Monitor for issues

Important Notes​

Apps Published Under Your Account

The mobile apps must be published under your company's own developer accounts. They cannot be published under WhautoChat Apple or Google Play accounts as per Apple and Google policies.

Backend Configuration Required

Before WhautoChat can build your apps, you must configure OneSignal credentials in your WhautoChat backend installation. This is a critical step that cannot be skipped.

What You Need to Get Started​

Before starting this process, ensure you have:

  • A Mac computer (required for some Apple configuration steps)
  • Credit card for developer account fees (Apple: $99/year, Google: $25 one-time)
  • Your company's legal business information
  • Access to your WhautoChat backend server
  • Basic design skills or a designer for app icons and splash screens
  • 3-4 weeks of time to complete the entire process
