Step 7: Prepare Store Listings

After receiving your built apps from WhautoChat, you'll need to prepare store listings with screenshots and descriptions. Start this while waiting for the build to complete.

What You'll Prepare

Store listings require different content than the build assets:

  1. App Store Screenshots (iOS and Android)
  2. App Description (full and short)
  3. Keywords (iOS)
  4. Promotional graphics (optional)

1. App Store Screenshots (iOS)

Required Sizes

You need screenshots for different iPhone sizes:

iPhone 6.7" Display (Required)

Devices: iPhone 14 Pro Max, 15 Pro Max, 15 Plus
Dimensions: 1290 x 2796 pixels
Quantity: Minimum 3, maximum 10

iPhone 6.5" Display (Required)

Devices: iPhone 11 Pro Max, XS Max
Dimensions: 1242 x 2688 pixels
Quantity: Minimum 3, maximum 10

Dimensions: 2048 x 2732 pixels
Quantity: Minimum 3, maximum 10

Screenshot Guidelines

What to show:

  • Key features of your app
  • Main screens (inbox, conversations, contacts)
  • Unique selling points
  • User interface highlights

Best practices:

  • First 2-3 screenshots are most important (shown in search)
  • Show actual app functionality
  • Can add text overlays to highlight features
  • Keep text readable and concise
  • Use consistent styling across all screenshots

Creating Screenshots

Option 1: Use Simulator (After Build)

  1. Install IPA on iOS Simulator
  2. Navigate to key screens
  3. Take screenshots (Cmd+S)
  4. Resize to required dimensions

Option 2: Use Real Device (After Build)

  1. Install via TestFlight
  2. Take screenshots on device
  3. Transfer to computer
  4. Resize to required dimensions

Option 3: Design Mockups (Before Build)

  1. Use Figma, Sketch, or Photoshop
  2. Create mockup designs of your app
  3. Place in device frames
  4. Export at required dimensions

Writing Tips

Do:

  • Front-load important information
  • Use bullet points for readability

  • Make false claims
  • Include pricing (can change)
